Dachstuhlbrand Zum Brand im Dachstuhl eines Einfamilienhauses in der Remsstraße im Stadtteil Altenburg sind Feuerwehr und Polizei am frühen Mittwochmorgen ausgerückt. Gegen 4.30 Uhr wurden die Einsatzleitstellen von Feuerwehr und Polizei alarmiert, nachdem Nachbarn Flammen aus dem Dach des Wohnhauses bemerkt hatten. Die Feuerwehr, die mit acht Fahrzeugen und 35 Feuerwehrleuten anrückte, begann sofort mit den Löschmaßnahmen, die sich bis in die frühen Morgenstunden hinzogen. Der 88 Jahre alte Hausbewohner, der das Gebäude beim Eintreffen der Einsatzkräfte bereits selbst verlassen hatte, wurde vom Rettungsdienst wegen des Verdachts auf eine Rauchgasvergiftung zur Untersuchung in eine Klinik gebracht. Der entstandene Sachschaden beläuft sich ersten Schätzungen zufolge auf etwa 100.000 Euro. Das Kriminalkommissariat Reutlingen hat vor Ort die Ermittlungen aufgenommen. (cw)

The fire brigade, which arrived with eight vehicles and 35 firefighters, immediately began extinguishing the fire, which lasted until the early hours of the morning. The 88-year-old resident, who had already left the building himself when the emergency services arrived, was taken to a clinic for examination by the emergency services on suspicion of smoke inhalation.
