Fichtenberg: Großbrand in Lagerhalle
Am Samstag gegen 17:20 Uhr entwickelte sich in einer Lagerhalle eines Kunststoffbetriebs in den Oberen Riedwiesen ein Großbrand. Die Lagerhalle stand zeitweise im Vollbrand und es kam zu einer starken Rauchentwicklung. Zum derzeitigen Kenntnisstand geht von dem Rauch jedoch keine Gefahr für Anwohner aus. Mittlerweile (Stand 19:15 Uhr) haben die Feuerwehren aus Fichtenberg, Gaildorf, Oberrot und Murrhardt, die mit mehr als 100 Einsatzkräften vor Ort sind, den Brand unter Kontrolle. Derzeit ist die L1066 zwischen Fichtenberg und Mittelrot noch gesperrt. Außerdem ist auch die Strecke der Murrbahn zwischen Fichtenberg und Gaildorf noch gesperrt. Die Brandursache ist zum derzeitigen Ermittlungsstand noch unklar. Der Sachschaden dürfte in die Millionen gehen.

Fichtenberg: major fire in the warehouse
On Saturday around 5:20 p.m., a major fire broke out in a warehouse of a plastics company in Oberen Riedwiesen. The warehouse was at times fully engulfed in fire and heavy smoke developed. However, based on current knowledge, the smoke does not pose a threat to local residents. In the meantime (as of 7:15 p.m.), the fire brigades from Fichtenberg, Gaildorf, Oberrot and Murrhardt, who are on site with more than 100 emergency services, have the fire under control. The L1066 between Fichtenberg and Mittelrot is currently still closed. In addition, the Murrbahn route between Fichtenberg and Gaildorf is still closed. The cause of the fire is still unclear at this point in time. The property damage is likely to be in the millions.
