[ Feuerwehr Bochum FW-BO: Brand einer Lagerhalle in einem Industriegebiet

Am Mittwochabend ist es zum Brand einer Lagerhalle im Industriegebiet Carolinenglückstraße in Bochum Hamme gekommen. Verletzt wurde glücklicherweise niemand. Um 21.45 Uhr meldeten mehrere Anrufer über den Notruf 112 eine brennende Lagerhalle auf dem Gelände eines Industriebetriebes an der Coralinenglückstraße in Bochum Hamme. Beim Eintreffen der ersten Einsatzkräfte kurze Zeit später stand eine 10 mal 20 Meter große Halle in Vollbrand. Die Leichtmetall-Industriehalle war Teil eines Hallenkomplexes und der Brand drohte auf weitere Hallen überzugreifen. Personen befanden sich glücklicherweise nicht in Gefahr, sodass sich die Einsatzkräfte sofort auf einen umfassenden Löschangriff konzentrieren konnten. Durch den Einsatz mehrerer Strahlrohren im Außenangriff und im Inneren der angrenzenden Halle sowie über eine Drehleiter und einen Wasserwerfer konnte eine Brandausbreitung erfolgreich verhindert werden. Durch die starke Rauchentwicklung kam es im Umfeld des Brandortes zeitweise zu erheblichen Geruchsbelästigungen. Über die Warn-App NINA wurde eine entsprechende Warnung veröffentlicht. Messungen im Umfeld konnten glücklicherweise keine erhöhten Schadstoffkonzentrationen nachweisen, sodass eine Gefahr für die Bevölkerung ausgeschlossen werden konnte. Nach rund 90 Minuten war der Brand unter Kontrolle. Um die letzten Brandnester ablöschen zu können, wurde das Innere der Halle mit Schaum geflutet. An dem Einsatz waren über 100 Einsatzkräfte der Berufsfeuerwehr sowie der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr beteiligt. Zur Brandursache hat die Polizei die Ermittlungen aufgenommen.

On Wednesday evening there was a fire in a warehouse in the Carolinenglückstrasse industrial area in Bochum-Hamme. Luckily nobody was injured. At 9:45 p.m., several callers reported a burning warehouse on the premises of an industrial company on Coralinenglückstraße in Bochum Hamme via the emergency call 112. When the first emergency services arrived a short time later, a 10 by 20 meter hall was fully engulfed in fire. The light metal industrial hall was part of a hall complex and the fire threatened to spread to other halls. Fortunately, no one was in danger, so the emergency services could immediately concentrate on a comprehensive firefighting attack. The spread of fire was successfully prevented by using several jet pipes on the outside and inside the adjoining hall, as well as using a turntable ladder and a water cannon. Due to the heavy smoke development, there was at times a considerable odor nuisance in the vicinity of the fire site. A corresponding warning was published via the warning app NINA. Fortunately, measurements in the area could not detect any increased concentrations of pollutants, so that a danger to the population could be ruled out. The fire was under control after about 90 minutes. In order to be able to extinguish the last nests of fire, the interior of the hall was flooded with foam. More than 100 firefighters and volunteer firefighters were involved in the operation. The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
