Die Feuerwehr Gladbeck wurde am heutigen Tage um 14.47 Uhr zu einem Wohnungsbrand zur Steinstraße alarmiert. Bereits auf der Anfahrt wurde die Alarmstufe auf Feuer 4 erhöht. Vor Ort konnte im 6. Obergeschoss eines Hochhauses eine Wohnung in Vollbrand erkundet werden. Die Befragung der Bewohner ergab, dass sich keine Personen in der betreffenden Brandwohnung befanden. Ein Trupp unter schwerem Atemschutz ging zur Brandbekämpfung vor, ein weiterer Trupp übernahm die Kontrolle der Wohnungen oberhalb der Brandwohnung sowie der benachbarten Wohnungen. Parallel dazu wurde auf der Gebäuderückseite eine Brandbekämpfung mit der Drehleiter durchgeführt. Durch das schnelle Eingreifen der Feuerwehr konnte ein Übergreifen auf darüber liegende Wohnungen verhindert werden. Trotz des Vollbrandes der Wohnung und der massiven Rauchentwicklung gab es keine Verletzten. Im Einsatz befanden neben der Hauptwache, der Löschzug Süd, sowie der Rettungsdienst mit zwei Rettungswagen und einem Notarzt. Während der Einsatzmaßnahmen sicherte der Löschzug Nord den Grundschutz für das Stadtgebiet. Die Brandwohnung wurde nach Abschluss der Maßnahmen durch die Polizei zur Brandursachenermittlung beschlagnahmt.(MK)

The Gladbeck fire brigade was alerted today at 2:47 p.m. to an apartment fire on Steinstrasse. The alert level was raised to Fire 4 on the way there. On site, an apartment in full fire could be explored on the 6th floor of a high-rise building. The questioning of the residents revealed that there were no people in the affected apartment. A squad wearing heavy respiratory protection went to fight the fire, another squad took over the control of the apartments above the fire apartment and the neighboring apartments. At the same time, a firefighting operation was carried out on the back of the building using the turntable ladder. The rapid intervention of the fire brigade prevented the spread to the apartments above. Despite the full fire in the apartment and the massive development of smoke, there were no injuries. In addition to the main guard, the southern extinguishing train and the rescue service with two ambulances and an emergency doctor were deployed. During the operational measures, the north extinguishing train secured the basic protection for the city area. The fire apartment was confiscated by the police to determine the cause of the fire after the measures had been completed. (MK)
