POL-AA: Schorndorf: Autofahrer nach Unfall schwer verletzt

Ein 23-jähriger Fahrer eines Mercedes Kastenwagens fuhr am Mittwochmorgen kurz nach 7:30 Uhr die Straße Kelterwiesen von Buhlbronn kommend in Richtung Miedelsbach entlang. Hierbei kam er aus bislang ungeklärter Ursache nach rechts von der Fahrbahn ab und prallte gegen einen Baum. Der 23-Jährige wurde im Fahrzeug eingeklemmt, er musste von der Feuerwehr befreit werden. Er wurde schwer verletzt mit einem Rettungshubschrauber in eine Klinik geflogen. Das Fahrzeug musste mit Totalschaden abgeschleppt werden, der entstandene Sachschaden beläuft sich auf etwa 25.000 Euro. Das Polizeirevier Schorndorf hat die Ermittlungen zur Unfallursache aufgenommen. In diesem Zusammenhang wird der Fahrer eines weißen Seat, der kurz nach dem Unfall in der Nähe des Unfallortes gesichtet wurde, als Zeuge gesucht. Er sowie weitere Zeugen des Unfalls werden dringend gebeten, sich unter der Telefonnummer 07181 2040 mit dem Polizeirevier Schorndorf in Verbindung zu setzen. Die Straße ist derzeit (Stand 08:40 Uhr) komplett gesperrt.

A 23-year-old driver of a Mercedes van drove shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, coming from Buhlbronn in the direction of Miedelsbach. He left the roadway to the right and crashed into a tree. The 23-year-old was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire department. He was seriously injured and flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter. The vehicle had to be towed away with a total loss, the resulting property damage amounts to around 25,000 euros. The Schorndorf police station has started investigating the cause of the accident. In this context, the driver of a white Seat, who was sighted near the scene of the accident shortly after the accident, is wanted as a witness. He and other witnesses to the accident are urged to contact the Schorndorf police station on 07181 2040. The road is currently (as of 08:40 a.m.) completely closed.
