Über den europaweiten Notruf 112 wurde durch einen Bewohner eine starke Rauchentwicklung aus einem Zimmer des Wohnheims gemeldet. Von der Integrierten Leitstelle wurden die Feuerwehr und der Rettungsdienst alarmiert. Im zweiten Obergeschoss des Gebäudes stand ein Zimmer in Vollbrand. Umgehend wurde die Brandbekämpfung mit zwei Trupps unter Atemschutz aufgenommen. Parallel wurden die verrauchten Bereiche im Brandgeschoss sowie im Dachgeschoss mit weiteren Trupps nach Personen abgesucht. Alle Bewohner konnten das Gebäude selbstständig, rechtzeitig verlassen, sie wurden im Außenbereich durch den Rettungsdienst betreut. Das Gebäude wurde mit Hochleistungslüftern belüftet und entraucht.

Stuttgart-Nord: room fire in a residential facility for young people

A resident reported heavy smoke coming from a room in the dormitory via the Europe-wide emergency call number 112. The fire brigade and rescue service were alerted by the integrated control center. A room on the second floor of the building was fully engulfed in fire. The firefighting was immediately started with two teams wearing respiratory protection. At the same time, the smoky areas on the fire floor and in the attic were searched for people with other teams. All residents were able to leave the building independently and in good time; they were looked after by the rescue service outside. The building was ventilated and smoked out with high-performance fans.
