Am Montag entstand durch ein Feuer in einer Firma in Allmendingen ein sehr hoher Schaden.

Am Montag, 06.02.2023, gegen 21 Uhr, brannte eine Firma in Allmendingen. Die 25 Mitarbeitenden, die sich zu dieser Zeit auf dem Firmengelände aufhielten, konnten das Gelände jedoch unverletzt verlassen. Anwohner wurden evakuiert.
Zunächst brannte es wohl in einem Raum, in dem ein Heizwerk und Druckluftkompressoren untergebrtacht waren, im weiteren Verlauf die gesamte Fabrikhalle. In der Halle befanden sich Geräte die mit Hydrauliköl betrieben wurden. Das Feuer in der Fabrikhalle griff dann auf das gesamte Firmengebäude über. Unter anderem geriet ein Tank mit etwa 50.000 Liter Hydrauliköl in Brand. Während den Löscharbeiten, die bis Dienstagnachmittag dauerten, kam es auch zu mehreren Explosionen.
Nach Mitteilung der Feuerwehr war diese mit 275 Personen im Einsatz. Fünf der Einsatzkräfte erlitten leichte bis mittelschwere Verletzungen.
Bislang ist die Ursache für den Brand noch unklar. Hinweise für Brandstiftung liegen derzeit nicht vor. Die Kriminalpolizei Ulm ermittelt nun wie es zu dem Brand kam. Hierbei wird sie von Sachverständigen unterstützt. Die Polizei schätzt den Schaden über 200 Millionen Euro.
Die an das Firmenglände angrenzende B492, musste wegen dem Feuer und den Löscharbetien bis zum Nachmittag gegen 15.30 Uhr gesperrt werden.

On Monday, February 6th, 2023, around 9 p.m., a company in Allmendingen caught fire. However, the 25 employees who were on the company premises at the time were able to leave the premises unharmed. Local residents were evacuated.
At first it probably burned in a room in which a heating plant and compressed air compressors were housed, then the entire factory building. In the hall there were devices that were operated with hydraulic oil. The fire in the factory building then spread to the entire company building. Among other things, a tank with around 50,000 liters of hydraulic oil caught fire. During the extinguishing work, which lasted until Tuesday afternoon, there were also several explosions.
According to the fire brigade, it was deployed with 275 people. Five of the firefighters suffered minor to moderate injuries.
So far, the cause of the fire is still unclear. There is currently no evidence of arson. The Ulm criminal police are now investigating how the fire started. She is supported in this by experts. The police estimate the damage over 200 million euros.
The B492 bordering the company premises had to be closed until around 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon due to the fire and the firefighting work.
