In der Samstagnacht gegen 01:15 Uhr meldeten Anwohnende des Studentenwegs in Waldenbuch Flammen im Bereich eines anliegenden Reifenservice. Durch die eintreffenden Rettungskräfte konnte das betroffene Wohnhaus, in welchem sich der Reifenhandel befindet, sowie die Nachbargebäude geräumt werden. Aufgrund der Rauchentwicklung und verbrennenden Autoreifen wurden die Anwohnenden aufgefordert, Fenster und Türen geschlossen zu halten. Die Stuttgarter Straße wurde für den Zeitraum des Einsatzes zwischen der Einmündung Nürtinger Straße und dem Kreisverkehr Gartenstraße gesperrt. Der Verkehr wurde umgeleitet. Verletzt wurde nach derzeitigem Kenntnisstand niemand. Nach zwei Stunden war der Brand durch die Feuerwehr gelöscht. Die Brandursache ist bislang noch nicht abschließend geklärt und Gegenstand der polizeilichen Ermittlungen. Die Höhe des entstandenen Sachschadens beträgt circa 140.000 Euro. Da das betroffene Gebäude vorläufig nicht mehr bewohnbar ist, kam die dreiköpfige Familie bei Bekannten unter. Die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner der benachbarten Wohnhäuser konnten nach Abschluss der Einsatzmaßnahmen wieder in ihre Wohnungen zurückkehren. Bei dem Brand war eine hohe Anzahl an Einsatzkräften der umliegenden freiwilligen Feuerwehren, des Rettungsdienstes und des Polizeipräsidiums Ludwigsburg im Einsatz. Die Leiterin des Ordnungsamts der Stadt Waldenbuch kam ebenfalls vor Ort.

In the Saturday night around 01:15 clock residents of the Studentenweg in Waldenbuch reported flames in the area of an adjacent tire service. By the arriving rescue forces the concerned dwelling house, in which the tire trade is, as well as the neighbouring buildings could be cleared. Due to the smoke and burning tires, residents were asked to keep windows and doors closed. Stuttgarter Straße was closed between the junction with Nürtinger Straße and the Gartenstraße traffic circle for the duration of the operation. Traffic was diverted. According to current knowledge, no one was injured. After two hours, the fire was extinguished by the fire department. The cause of the fire has not yet been conclusively determined and is the subject of police investigations. The amount of the damage to property amounts to approximately 140,000 euros. Since the affected building is temporarily no longer habitable, the family of three stayed with friends. The residents of the neighboring residential buildings were able to return to their homes after the emergency measures were completed. A large number of emergency personnel from the surrounding volunteer fire departments, the rescue service and the Ludwigsburg police headquarters were deployed to deal with the fire. The head of the public order department of the city of Waldenbuch also came to the scene.
