Am Sonntagabend gegen 22:30 Uhr wurde die Feuerwehr zu einem Wohnungsbrand in den Kirchenweg alarmiert. Bei Eintreffen der ersten Einsatzkräfte schlugen die Flammen aus einer Dachgeschosswohnung im 2. Obergeschoß des Mehrfamilienhauses. Alle Bewohner des Hauses konnten das Gebäude unverletzt verlassen. Die Feuerwehr hatte das Feuer gegen 23:20 Uhr unter Kontrolle. Eingesetzt waren die Feuerwehren aus Burgstetten und Backnang mit insgesamt fünf Fahrzeugen und 26 Einsatzkräften. Das Gebäude ist nach dem Brand zunächst nicht bewohnbar. Die Höhe des Sachschadens beläuft sich nach ersten Schätzungen auf ca. 50.000 Euro. Zur Brandursache liegen zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch keine Hinweise vor. Die polizeilichen Ermittlungen wurden aufgenommen.

On Sunday evening around 22:30 clock, the fire department was alerted to an apartment fire in the Kirchenweg. When the first task forces arrived, the flames were beating from an attic apartment on the 2nd floor of the apartment building. All inhabitants of the house could leave the building uninjured. The fire department had the fire around 23:20 o’clock under control. The fire departments from Burgstetten and Backnang were deployed with a total of five vehicles and 26 firefighters. The building is not habitable after the fire for the time being. The height of the material damage amounts to after first estimations to approx. 50,000 euro. At present, no information is available on the cause of the fire. The police investigation has been started.
