Altbach (ES): Zwei Schwerverletzte bei Gebäudebrand
Zwei schwer verletzte Person sowie Sachschaden in Höhe von mehreren hunderttausend Euro sind die Folge eines Gebäudebrandes am Sonntagmittag in der Wacholderstraße in Altbach. Aus bislang ungeklärter Ursache kam es gegen 13.15 Uhr im Erdgeschoss des Einfamilienhauses zu einem Brandausbruch, woraufhin sich die Flammen im gesamten Gebäude ausbreiteten. Die 75-jährige Hauseigentümerin und ihr 78-jähriger Ehemann wurden im Verlauf des Brandes schwer verletzt und mussten im Anschluss an die medizinische Erstbehandlung durch den Rettungsdienst in eine Klinik verbracht werden. Das Einfamilienhaus ist aufgrund des Brandes nicht mehr bewohnbar. Die Freiwillige Feuerwehr mit den Abteilungen Altbach und Plochingen war mit einem Großaufgebot vor Ort. Seitens des Rettungsdienstes waren unter anderem ein Notarzt- und zwei Rettungswagen eingesetzt. Das Polizeirevier Esslingen übernahm noch am Einsatzort die ersten Ermittlungen zur Brandursache.

Two seriously injured people and property damage amounting to several hundred thousand euros are the result of a building fire on Sunday afternoon in Wacholderstrasse in Altbach. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a fire broke out around 1.15 p.m. on the ground floor of the family home, after which the flames spread throughout the building. The 75-year-old homeowner and her 78-year-old husband were seriously injured in the course of the fire and had to be taken to a clinic by the rescue service after initial medical treatment. The family home is no longer habitable due to the fire. The volunteer fire brigade with the Altbach and Plochingen departments was on site with a large contingent. On the part of the rescue service, among other things, an ambulance and two ambulances were used. The Esslingen police station took over the first investigations into the cause of the fire while still on the scene.
