Bretzfeld/Schwabbach: Großbrand in Firma – 5 Verletzte
Noch ist unklar, weshalb es am Dienstagnachmittag zu einem Großbrand in einer Schwabbacher Firma kam. Kurz vor 14 Uhr wurde der Brand einer Halle in der Schmalbachstraße gemeldet. Zunächst schienen die Flammen unter Kontrolle, entfachten dann aber erneut. Die Rauchentwicklung wurde so stark, dass Anwohner angehalten waren ihre Fenster und Türen geschlossen zu halten. Um die Löscharbeiten der Feuerwehr zu erleichtern mussten während der Brandbekämpfung die Moosbacherstraße und die Schmalbachstraße gesperrt werden. Angrenzende Firmengebäude wurden evakuiert. Fünf Personen kamen mit leichten Verletzungen ins Krankenhaus, darunter ein Feuerwehrmann. Die Wehren von Bretzfeld, Öhringen und Künzelsau waren mit 29 Fahrzeugen und über 100 Feuerwehrfrauen und -männern im Einsatz und konnten das Feuer gegen 15.30 Uhr endgültig löschen. Der entstandene Sachschaden wird auf mehrere hunderttausend Euro geschätzt. Wie es zu dem Brand kommen konnte ist nun Teil der Ermittlungen. 13.06.23/16.40 Uhr: Aktuell sind die die Moosbacherstraße und die Schmalbachstraße noch gesperrt.

Bretzfeld/Schwabbach: Major fire in company – 5 people injured
It is still unclear why there was a major fire in a Schwabbach company on Tuesday afternoon. Shortly before 14 o’clock the fire of a hall in the Schmalbachstraße was reported. At first, the flames seemed to be under control, but then reignited. The smoke development became so strong that residents were urged to keep their windows and doors closed. To facilitate the firefighting efforts of the fire department, Moosbacherstraße and Schmalbachstraße had to be closed during the firefighting. Adjacent company buildings were evacuated. Five people were taken to hospital with minor injuries, including one firefighter. The fire departments of Bretzfeld, Öhringen and Künzelsau were in action with 29 vehicles and over 100 firefighters and were able to finally extinguish the fire at around 3:30 pm. The resulting property damage is estimated at several hundred thousand euros. How it could come to the fire is now part of the investigation.
