Sindelfingen: Brand in Wohnung eines Hochhauses – tote 85-jährige Frau entdeckt

Am Montag (14.08.2023) rückte ein Großaufgebot der Feuerwehr, von Rettungskräften sowie der Polizei kurz nach 13.00 Uhr in den Max-Liebermann-Weg in Sindelfingen aus, nachdem eine Bewohnerin eines Hochhauses einen Brand in ebendiesem Haus gemeldet hatte. Zunächst war eine starke Rauchentwicklung im Bereich eines Balkons des Mehrfamilienhauses sichtbar. Im weiteren Verlauf stellte sich heraus, dass eine Wohnung nahezu im Vollbrand stand. Insbesondere Bewohner des sechsten Stockwerks, auf dem der Brand ausgebrochen war, mussten ihre Wohnungen räumen. Während der Löschmaßnahmen, die gegen 13.30 Uhr beendet waren, entdeckten die Einsatzkräfte der Feuerwehr eine leblose Person in der Brandwohnung. Ein Notarzt konnte schließlich nur noch den Tod der 85 Jahre alten Frau feststellen. Bislang sind Todes- und Brandursache noch ungeklärt. Der entstandene Sachschaden dürfte sich auf eine sechsstellige Summe belaufen. Über die Brandwohnung hinaus wurden keine weiteren Räumlichkeiten beschädigt. Die Bewohner der übrigen Wohnungen konnten nach Abschluss der Maßnahmen der Feuerwehr wieder in das Haus zurückkehren. Die Ermittlungen wegen fahrlässiger Brandstiftung, die das Polizeirevier Sindelfingen aufgenommen hat, dauern an.

Sindelfingen: Fire in a high-rise apartment – dead 85-year-old woman discovered

On Monday (08/14/2023) a large contingent of the fire brigade, rescue workers and the police moved out to Max-Liebermann-Weg in Sindelfingen shortly after 1 p.m. after a resident of a high-rise building had reported a fire in this same building. Initially, a heavy smoke development was visible in the area of a balcony of the apartment building. Later it turned out that an apartment was almost fully engulfed in flames. In particular, residents of the sixth floor, where the fire broke out, had to vacate their apartments. During the extinguishing measures, which ended around 1.30 p.m., the fire brigade’s forces discovered a lifeless person in the fire apartment. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the 85-year-old woman. So far, the cause of death and fire are still unclear. The resulting property damage is likely to amount to a six-digit sum. Apart from the fire apartment, no other premises were damaged. The residents of the other apartments were able to return to the house after the fire brigade had completed the measures. The investigations into negligent arson, which the Sindelfingen police station has started, are ongoing.
