Über den europaweiten Notruf 112 gingen am Freitagmittag mehrere Anrufe ein, welche von einem Zimmerbrand im 3. OG, sowie von einer Person auf dem Balkon der Brandwohnung berichteten. Aufgrund des dramatischen Meldebildes alarmierte die Integrierte Leitstelle umgehend zwei Löschzüge, sowie diverse Sonderfahrzeuge. Bei Eintreffen der Feuerwehr drang dichter Rauch aus mehreren Fenstern einer Wohnung und des Treppenraumes im 3. OG. An einem der Fenster stand eine Frau, welche bereits komplett vom Brandrauch umgeben war. Weitere Bewohner des Gebäudes berichteten, dass bis auf die Person am Fenster keine weiteren Menschen mehr im Gebäude vermisst werden. Ein Atemschutztrupp begab sich zur Menschenrettung in das 3. Obergeschoss. Parallel wurde eine Schiebleiter und kurz darauf auch eine Drehleiter in Stellung gebracht. In letzter Minute konnte die Person durch den Atemschutztrupp an die Drehleiterbesatzung übergeben und damit gerettet werden. Nach einer notärztlichen Erstversorgung, wurde die schwerverletzte Person zur weiteren Behandlung in eine Klinik transportiert. Ein Ersthelfer wurde leichtverletzt und ebenfalls vom Rettungsdienst behandelt. Zeitgleich begann die Brandbekämpfung durch zwei Atemschutztrupps mit zwei Löschrohren. Schon kurze Zeit später konnte „Feuer aus“ gemeldet werden. Im Anschluss wurden alle weiteren Wohnungen des Gebäudes auf Verrauchung kontrolliert und teilweise belüftet.

On Friday afternoon, several calls were received via the Europe-wide emergency number 112, which reported a room fire on the 3rd floor and a person on the balcony of the apartment. Due to the dramatic reporting picture, the integrated control center raised an alarm immediately two fire engines, as well as various special vehicles. When the fire brigade arrived, dense smoke was coming from several windows of an apartment and the stairwell on the 3rd floor. A woman was standing at one of the windows, who was already completely surrounded by the smoke from the fire. Other residents of the building reported that except for the Person at the window no more people are missing in the building. A respiratory protection team went to the third floor to rescue people. At the same time, an extension ladder and shortly afterwards a turntable ladder were put into position. At the last minute, the person was handed over to the turntable ladder crew by the respiratory protection team and with it be saved. After receiving first aid from an emergency doctor, the seriously injured person was transported to a clinic for further treatment. A first responder was slightly injured and also treated by the emergency services. At the same time, two breathing protection teams with two extinguishing pipes began fighting the fire.
