Welzheim: Gaskartusche explodiert
Gegen 23:00 Uhr wurde der Rettungsleitstelle eine Explosion in einem Mehrfamilienhaus in der Haydnstraße in Welzheim gemeldet. Vor Ort stellte sich heraus, dass es in einer Wohnung aus bislang unbekannter Ursache zur Umsetzung einer Gaskartusche gekommen war. Dabei handelte es sich um eine handelsübliche Gaskartusche, die zum Beispiel für Campingkocher oder Grills genutzt wird. Die entstehende Druckwelle brachte ein Fenster zum Bersten. Eine Innenwand in der Wohnung wurde stark beschädigt. Es wurde niemand verletzt. Die betroffene Wohnung ist vorübergehend unbewohnbar, die Bewohner der anderen Wohnungen konnten nach Abschluss der Einsatzmaßnahmen in ihre Wohnungen zurückkehren. Es entstand Sachschaden in Höhe von ca. 10.000 EUR.

At around 11:00 p.m., the rescue control center was notified of an explosion in an apartment building on Haydnstraße in Welzheim. On site, it turned out that a gas cartridge had been moved in an apartment for reasons that were not yet known. It was a standard gas cartridge that is used, for example, for camping stoves or grills. The resulting pressure wave burst a window. An interior wall in the apartment was badly damaged. Nobody was hurt. The affected apartment is temporarily uninhabitable, the residents of the other apartments were able to return to their apartments after the end of the emergency measures. Property damage of around EUR 10,000 was incurred.
