In den frühen Morgenstunden meldeten mehrere Anrufer der Integrierten Leitstelle Stuttgart einen Brand mit Flammenschein im 3. Obergeschoss eines Mehrfamilienhauses in der Rosenstraße. Die Leitstelle alarmierte daraufhin sofort zwei Löschzüge der Berufsfeuerwehr sowie mehrere Sonderfahrzeuge. Der schon nach zwei Minuten zuerst an der Einsatzstelle eintreffenden Einheit bot sich ein dramatisches Lagebild: Flammen schlugen aus den Fenstern einer Wohnung und griffen bereits auf die Dachkonstruktion über. Mehrere Personen standen an den Fenstern und auf dem Dach und riefen um Hilfe, weil ihnen der Fluchtweg über den Treppenraum versperrt war. Die Feuerwehr begann sofort mit der Menschenrettung und leitete einen Löschangriff ein. So wurden vier Personen über Drehleitern vom Dach und aus den Wohnungen sowie weitere Personen über den Treppenraum gerettet. Das Feuer konnte schnell unter Kontrolle gebracht und eine weitere Brandausbreitung verhindert werden. Insgesamt wurden fünf Personen leicht verletzt in Klinken gebracht, weitere 26 Betroffene vorübergehend betreut.

In the early hours of the morning, several callers to the Stuttgart Integrated Control Center reported a fire with flames on the 3rd floor of an apartment building on Rosenstrasse. The control center then immediately alerted two fire engines from the professional fire department and several special vehicles. The unit that first arrived at the scene after just two minutes was presented with a dramatic situation: flames were shooting out of the windows of an apartment and were already spreading to the roof structure. Several people stood at the windows and on the roof and called for help because their escape route via the stairwell was blocked. The fire brigade immediately began rescuing people and initiated an extinguishing attack. Four people were rescued from the roof and out of the apartments using turntable ladders, and other people were rescued from the stairwell. The fire was quickly brought under control and further spread of the fire was prevented. A total of five people were taken to clinics with minor injuries, and another 26 affected people were temporarily cared for.
