Hoher Sachschaden entstand bei einem Brand in der Nacht von Mittwoch auf Donnerstag im Gewerbepark in Kuchen

Gegen 2.15 Uhr informierte eine Zeugin über Notruf die Polizei, dass eine Gaststätte brennen würde. Als die Feuerwehr vor Ort eintraf, stand das Gebäude bereits in Flammen. Die Feuerwehren Geislingen, Gingen a.d. Fils, Kuchen und Salach bekämpften den Brand mit einem Großaufgebot bis in die Morgenstunden. Mehr als 60 Feuerwehrleute und auch das DRK waren im Einsatz. Personen kamen bei dem Feuer nicht zu Schaden. In dem betroffenen Gebäude befindet sich keine Wohnung. Nach aktuellem Stand der Ermittlungen hielt sich zum Zeitpunkt des Brandausbruchs niemand in der Gaststätte auf. Die Brandursache ist bislang noch nicht bekannt. Der Sachschaden wird von den Einsatzkräften auf etwa 1 Million Euro geschätzt. Aktuell wurde die Brandruine wegen Einsturzgefahr gesperrt. Das Polizeirevier Geislingen hat die Ermittlungen übernommen.

Significant property damage was caused by a fire on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in the commercial park in Kuchen

At around 2:15 a.m., a witness called the police via emergency call that a restaurant was on fire. When the fire department arrived on site, the building was already engulfed in flames. The Geislingen, Gingen a.d. fire departments Fils, Kuchen and Salach fought the fire with a large contingent until the early hours of the morning. More than 60 firefighters and the DRK were on duty. No one was injured in the fire. There is no apartment in the affected building. According to the current status of the investigation, no one was in the restaurant at the time the fire broke out. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The emergency services estimate the material damage to be around 1 million euros. The fire ruins have currently been closed due to the risk of collapse. The Geislingen police station has taken over the investigation.
