Die Fahrerin eines Pkw Citroen C1 befuhr am Donnerstag gegen 8.30 Uhr die K 1897 von Backnang in Richtung Steinbach und wollte an der Einmündung Richtung Opppenweiler-Zell abbiegen. Hierbei missachtete sie den Vorrang einer entgegenfahrenden Skoda-Fahrerin und stieß mit ihrem Fahrzeug zusammen. Die schwerverletzte 52-jährige Unfallverursacherin wurde in ihrem Pkw Citroen eingeklemmt und musste von der alarmierten Feuerwehr aus dem Unfallauto geborgen werden. Sie wurde noch an der Unfallstelle notärztlich versorgt und mit einem Rettungshubschrauber in eine Klinik verbracht. Die 33-jährige Skoda-Fahrerin wurde beim Unfall leicht verletzt und musste ebenfalls ins Krankenhaus gebracht werden. Beide Unfallfahrzeuge, an denen Sachschaden in Höhe von ca. 17.000 Euro entstand, wurden abgeschleppt. Die Fahrbahn war während der Unfallaufnahme bis ca. 10.15 Uhr gesperrt.

The driver of a Citroen C1 car was driving on the K 1897 from Backnang towards Steinbach around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and wanted to turn off at the junction towards Oppenweiler-Zell. She disregarded the right of way of an oncoming Skoda driver and collided with her vehicle. The seriously injured 52-year-old woman who caused the accident was trapped in her Citroen car and had to be rescued from the accident car by the alert fire department. She received emergency medical care at the scene of the accident and was taken to a clinic in a rescue helicopter. The 33-year-old Skoda driver was slightly injured in the accident and also had to be taken to hospital. Both accident vehicles, which caused material damage amounting to approximately 17,000 euros, were towed away. The road was closed until around 10:15 a.m. while the accident was being recorded.
