POL-S: Brand in Gaststätte – Zeugen gesucht
Stuttgart-Ost (ots) Aus bislang unbekannter Ursache ist am Mittwoch (06.09.2023) ein Brand in einer Gaststätte an der Ostendstraße ausgebrochen und hat einen Schaden von mehreren 10.000 Euro verursacht. Zeugen meldeten gegen 18.30 Uhr über die Rettungsleitstelle der Feuerwehr einen Brand in dem Imbiss, welcher sich im Erdgeschoss eines mehrstöckigen Gebäudes befindet. Polizeibeamte stellten bei ihrem Eintreffen eine starke Rauchentwicklung fest, welche durch das gesamte Gebäude zog. Gäste des Imbiss hatten die Räumlichkeiten bereits verlassen. Eine Bewohnerin einer Wohnung über der Gaststätte sowie drei weitere Personen, welche sich in einem direkt angrenzenden Gebäude aufhielten, verließen unverletzt das Gebäude. Gegen 19.00 Uhr hatte die Feuerwehr das Feuer gelöscht. Die Kriminalpolizei hat die Ermittlungen zur Brandursache aufgenommen. Zeugen werden gebeten, sich unter der Rufnummer +4971189905778 bei den Beamtinnen und Beamten der Kriminalpolizei zu melden.

For a yet unknown cause, a fire broke out in a restaurant on Ostendstrasse on Wednesday (September 6th, 2023) and caused damage amounting to several tens of thousands of euros. At around 6:30 p.m., witnesses reported a fire in the snack bar, which is located on the ground floor of a multi-story building, via the fire department’s rescue control center. When police officers arrived, they noticed heavy smoke coming through the entire building. Guests at the snack bar had already left the premises. A resident of an apartment above the restaurant and three other people who were in a directly adjacent building left the building uninjured. The fire department extinguished the fire around 7 p.m. The criminal police have started investigating the cause of the fire. Witnesses are asked to contact the criminal police officers on +4971189905778.
