POL-LB: Tödlicher Verkehrsunfall auf der A8 in Richtung München, Gemarkung Neuhausen Ludwigsburg (ots)
Am Dienstag, um 00.15 Uhr, befuhr ein 53jähriger Sattelzuglenker die BAB 8 in Richtung München. Aus bislang unbekannter Ursache kam er kurz nach der Anschluss-Stelle Neuhausen stetig nach rechts, fuhr in den Grünstreifen und fiel aufgrund der Böschung um. Der Fahrer wurde im Führerhaus eingeklemmt und verstarb noch an der Unfallstelle. Während der Unfallaufnahme musste der rechte und mittlere Fahrstreifen gesperrt werden. Es kam zu keinem Rückstau. Vor Ort waren die Feuerwehr Stuttgart, die Flughafenfeuerwehr, der Rettungsdienst mit Notarzt und drei Polizeistreifen. Durch den Unfall entstand am Sattelzug Schaden in Höhe von ca. 130.000 Euro, an der Ladung 15.000 Euro. Am Erdreich, welches teilweise ausgegraben werden musste entstand Schaden von etwa 5000 Euro. Der rechte und der mittlere Fahrstreifen sind aktuell noch durch die Autobahnmeisterei Kirchheim zur Bergung des Sattelzugs gesperrt.

On Tuesday at 12:15 a.m., a 53-year-old semitrailer driver drove on the BAB 8 in the direction of Munich. For reasons that are not yet known, he came steadily to the right shortly after the Neuhausen junction, drove into the green belt and fell over due to the embankment. The driver was trapped in the cab and died at the scene of the accident. The right and middle lanes had to be closed while the accident was being recorded. There was no backlog. The Stuttgart fire brigade, the airport fire brigade, the rescue service with an emergency doctor and three police patrols were on site. The accident caused damage to the articulated lorry totaling around EUR 130,000 and EUR 15,000 to the load. Damage of around 5000 euros was caused to the soil, which had to be partially excavated. The right and middle lanes are currently still closed by the Kirchheim motorway maintenance department for the purpose of recovering the articulated lorry.
